To facilitate operation, 3 options complement the basic functionalities of the system.

 

This software enables to manage the system from a PC without having to act on the device installed on the treadmill. The following functions are available from the GUI :

 

• Database operations
• Edit : Enables to perform all managment functions of the database
• Export : Transfer the database from the PC to the analysis module
• Import : Transfer the database from the analysis module to the PC

 

• Simulation :
• Enables to check the selecting running shoes process from a PC.

 

• Local update
• Shoe-size management in stock : see detailed description.
• Video : In stand-by mode, the system plays a default video on the touch screen that can be replaced by a new one.
• Image : Before playing video, the system shows a default image on the touch screen that can also be replaced.

 

• Internet update
• Software : Enables to update the software embedded in the analysis module in order to incorporate new functionnalities.
• Database update via internet : see detailed description.
• UPLOAD : Transfer the database from the system to the FOVEA server in order to add new running shoe models.
• DOWNLOAD : Transfer the database updated by FOVEA to the FX-Run™ system in order to get new running shoe models.

 

Through an Internet connection, the « running shoes » database can be updated depending on the new models introduced by manufacturers. The downloaded database is own at each store, and it's customized for each of them (pre-selection of models in stock, tuning parameters).

 

 

 

 

This feature enables the system to recommend only the models fit to the customer needs and whose size is available in stock. An additional parameter (shoe-size) is the only change that appear on the touch screen. Through the function of the PC-based application software « Shoe-size management in stock », the available sizes are transfered from the PC to the analysis module via a swap file (excel format). The system supports currently a swap file extracted from the following management systems : Intersys and Ginkoia. It's also able to adapt to other management systems.
