The functionnalities of the FX-Run™ system :
- A management function of the « running shoes » database :
- to tune the technical attributes of different shoes models
- to reference running shoes trademark in the device
- to control stock
- A simulation function of the selecting running shoes process to check the
relevance between « customer characteristics » and « suggested models ».
When the FX-Run™ system is in stand-by mode, two additional features can be launched directly from the touch screen. The first enables the database management of the running shoes availables in the store. The second enables to simulate the process of selecting running shoes in order to check the relevance between the shoes selected by the system and the parameters of a lambda customer.
Management of the « running shoes » database
By using the touch screen, the system provides a full access to the database of the running shoes availables in the store. Therefore, it enables to :
- add, update or delete some running shoes (attributes : trademark, reference, price, gender, weight, shoe-size, stride, specific practice, ground)
- make a copy of an existing shoe (to ease the add of a new running shoe model related to an existing model in the database)
- control the stock of running shoes availables in the store (the availability of each model in the system is carried out by an associated checkbox)
- add, update or delete some trademark
- set a specific trademark in order to reduce the selecting of running shoes to a particular trademark (or to a group of several trademarks)
The system is immediately operational after installation : it includes the « running shoes » database set with models availables in the store ; the system manager is free to add or delete some models, or to tune the technical attributes afterwards.
Simulation of the selecting running shoes process
Before the commissioning of the system, and without using the treadmill, it is possible to check the relevance between the shoes selected by the system and the parameters of a lambda customer. In this operating mode, all data are filled through the touch screen.
So, it is possible to perform all possible scenarios by filling the different parameters (gender, weight, usage, frequency, duration, ground, stride, price, trademark) and to ensure that :
- all models of running shoes are well configured in the database
- at least one model of running shoe will always be offered to the customer, regardless of its morphology and specific needs.
